Joel Ramirez:  Performance Coach, USAT Multisport Coach, NASM CPT

Everyone has an inner champion.  My job is to help them tap into it and give them the resources to resurrect it.  My mantra is simple; plan well, train hard and thrive.  My passion lies in unlocking the potential of the mind and body and helping others do the same. With over twenty five year's of coaching and racing experience nationally and internationally; I have logged countless miles and learned a few things along the way. Namely, no one makes it to the top alone. “It takes a Village.” My desire to achieve podium success has forced me to learn about the cutting edge therapeutic modalities it takes for peak performance. In doing so, my team and I have helped innumerable people to be lighter, leaner, stronger and faster both mentally and physically. Based on my experience at the Olympic Training Center, in 2004 I founded Breakaway, a performance training center in San Francisco which offered a comprehensive training program to help athletes achieve podium success. Having sold the brand in 2013, I am now taking performance coaching to a new level; working with a new team of specialists to help reset the bodies’ digestive, nervous, muscular and endocrine systems to help people increase their longevity, vitality and to thrive.  The new company is called Optime’, Latin for “optimal”.
